MMFB FAREWELL
Only appropriate that the last MMFB of the Year is the only
one to get posted early in the day. Even behind a 7th consecutive
playoff appearance, the dream is over for the Chiefs after a spectacular Bank
powered blaze of glory. My Sunday ended much like Darryl’s two snaps and a
twist.
Alas, there will be NO 3 Up’s OR 3 Down’s on this somber
day. Pull those fingers away from the ombligo as well, no Lo Comiste. Instead,
I will use this year long decayed soap box to wish my final thanks upon the
Machucando elite, and not so elite, for another year that I’d deem successful,
but certainly came short of setting prior benchmarks.
THANKS: To the Draft Heads….those who came out to the 2nd
Annual Joo Lottery and all those who partook in the draft, as well as
corresponding after party. It is my sincere wish that all of us jam together as
a league post draft next season, but I’m aware some of you are nutless wonders and
doubly aware that we may be in a food coma once Rubz epic 2013 spread is laid
before us. Seriously Rubz, I want you
going full Guy Fieri.
THANKS: To the posters…those who chipped in all season long.
I’m finally starting to get that there’s only one chief who can give 1000
percent to this league as a whole, and sure I razz you all for you respective
short comings, but a big thanks truly for those who brought it to the boards.
THANKS: To the boomers…Arian for not 1st pick
busting, Alf for swinging for the fences, Knowshon for proving Moreno’s can run
inside the tackles, Da Bears and even Big Ben for doing his part in trending QB’s
down as a whole.
THANKS: To the true Machucando-ans…those who continue to
treat this League, year in and year out, as the most competitive, diabolical,
who’s who of Fantasy Football. We are all in other leagues, and for 99.9
percent of us, those other leagues don’t exist. Thank you for making
Machucando.
And that’s pretty much it.
I have no hate left in my heart.
I let it all out Clayton Bigsby style. A flock of black pigeons set free to the
sky. After the kick to the dick I received last year, getting walloped in the
first round this year was Mardi Gras. I went out my way… grinchily making the same
dastardly moves that leave the bystanders chirping for my fall for the grace.
And fall.I.did. I’m in my 90’s Miami
Dolphins era in Machucando, the most successful unsuccessful teams—provided Terry
Kirby led us to a perfect record and a Super Bowl title. But a heavy heart today. Just look at what
KeBron stumbled upon when he walked into my room late yesterday. That’s right,
CHIEF PACQUIAO.
DRINK IT IN SMITTY. Congrats to all of our semi finalists. I will be popping in in the next two weeks to answer any questions you may have about payouts, and what not. I'll be awaiting your feedback and interest in returning for 2013-2014 this offseason. Signing off once again, in King Chief fashion.
-THE CHIEF
